Wanted: Warm Woman

Woke up yesterday morning feeling rough, headache, snotty nose, aching joints……. today still pretty much the same, the worse thing is I’m skint and can’t get into town until next tuesday to get any hot lemon type meds….
And trying to sleep with a constantly runny nose…… forget it…….!!

 

Shopping day today…….

Would you believe I’ve logged into WordPress three times in the last couple of hours with the intention of doing an update, only to get sidetracked or just plain forget !!

Personally I blame it on Facebook and all my lady friends on there, and Duncan on Mad Hatters for sidetracking me to a blog I’ve been meaning to look at but again, kept forgetting to….. sooo! check out the new link over in the blogroll for…… **Roll of Drums** ….. Frigginloon !! Tada!!

Anyway, back to the title…. this morning is shopping time….. food, whiskey and bog rolls…… most likely in that order too…..
also got a large number of cassette tapes for the RSPCA charity shop, I’m still sorting stuff given me from next door after my neighbour died, a few items I’ve kept, most got or are getting ‘Freegled’ (was Freecycle….. long story..) and some were given away or are going to charity shops…. eventually I’ll be able to see parts of my living room and bedroom carpet I’ve not seen in yonks…..

Also have a ‘Magic Recliner’ thingy, basically an inflatable wedge for under a mattress, when inflated it lifts the head end upwards at an angle, I’d put it on Freegle and got two emails asking for it, both forgot to use the word Please and one was quite curt…… neither of them will get it……

Anyway, now waiting on a reasonable dry day so I can get the garden stuff tidied up, roses pruned (murdered!) etc, the holly I thought I’d killed off last year has come back so will find some way of doing it in permanently, sodium chlorate methinks, or just piss on it after a night on the whiskey…..

Apart from that bit of news theres bugger all else, I still need a good woman, still spend days alone with just the tele and computer for company and am probably still drinking too much……. it gets me to sleep, thats my excuse…..

Yawn!!

Thats how I feel today, tired….. the sun is shining, its been nice pretty much all day, and I could quite happily sleep for a month…….
Winter must be coming, I’m getting the urge to hibernate….LOL

Next door has now been cleared out, the housing folks will no doubt be next to assess the state of the place, considering they were nearly in tears and stamping their feet cos they wanted the keys handed in weeks ago they sure seem to be taking their sweet time getting the place sorted and a new tenant in there…. lets hope the new folk are decent, after the shite with previous neighbours at my last address the last thing I want is noisy neighbours here !!

Not a lot to get done here for winter, a few bits of pruning and general tidying up is all, next year I’m thinking of digging up part of the back lawn and planting some veg but thats not definite yet, guy next door offered me some string beans earlier but I can’t stand the bloody things….. a small greenhouse would be ideal for my needs but freecycle is frequented by ‘gimme’s’ with transport so stuff like that is grabbed real quick… plus its no longer Freecycle around here, changed to something call ‘Freegle’ due to the American ‘powers that be’ throwing their weight around and basically getting told to sod off by the UK sites…..

(Note to self: when eating a peanut butter toastie hold plate under chin…. peanut butter in semi-liquid form on a white T-shirt is messy!!!)

Oooo the pain!

Just spent a few days helping next door sort the place out, tried to freecycle a lot of stuff but only one turned up out of those that even bothered to show an interest, the scunthorpe freecycle site refused the post point blank citing various reasons, personally I think the moderator was pissed and couldn’t be arsed reading the post properly…… so a LOT of useful stuff that folks using the scunthorpe freecycle site could use will now go to the tip…. their loss as I don’t have the space to store all the items and freecycle them!
Seems the concept and ethos of the freecycle movement is lost on some folks!

Nothing much else to tell you, the weather has been bloody awful, summer is nearly over and my arthritis is playing up again…..
Tomorrow – shopping and a bottle of tesco’s liquid painkiller…. LOL

There but by the grace of……..

Found out this morning my next door neighbour, George, the guy bending over in a photo on a previous post, is dead….. still awaiting news on exactly what happened……………..

 

So……….

I’ve been conspicuous by my absence?
Nobody commented on it though……

Hopefully its gonna stop raining but this being the UK I doubt it very much, supposed to be going into town later this morning but if its pouring down that aint gonna happen, no point in getting soaked to the skin for the sake of tesco’s pot noodles and some biscuits, the main shopping trip is next tuesday/thursday and I can probably survive until then…… the lack of pot noodles might force my hand though….

I’ve been spending way too much time on facebook too, I’ve decided to stop using three applications on there, mostly down to the fact no bugger else cares, once was the time when I couldn’t keep up with sending and receiving ’stuff’ but thats dwindled down to a level where its no longer worth the hassle, I also deleted quite a few ‘friends’ that simply no longer kept in touch….. luckily I have a few who have stuck by me and will hopefully continue to do so…..

Apart from that………. still feeding the birds, now winding that down now the youngsters can fend for themselves and ‘mom & dad’ don’t need so much help, I’ll resume full scale come winter time……
Had my first visit from a wooderpecker the other day, a rather scruffy lesser spotted, it was raining though !
The jackdaws are still a bloody nuisance, my ‘jackdaw-o-pult’ helps but they’re learning how not to get in the way, the thin elastic stretches, they’re usually upside down hanging from the fat ball, they touch their backs on the fence and dive off, if they go upwards they get a fat ball in the arse……boing!!!!!!
Damn things are now diving off sideways……damn!

So, thats my thursday morning 4.30am-ish ramble, tried sleeping earlier but gave up, facebook is dead, messenger is deader and the tele is showing the usual shite…… ’bout normal then!!!
