Wet ‘n’ Windy….

Shopping this morning, only just got home in time before the rain started, its now blowing a gale and pissing down……
As usual my shopping was only for a few items to replenish stocks…. came home with a lot more than intended and wrapped up fish and chips for lunch, a rare treat for me because I usually forget or don’t have time to get to the chippy before bus time….. the best part…. I was mistaken for an old fogey, despite insisting I did not qualify the gal serving said I could have the OAP ‘lunchtime special’, fish, chips, peas or curry at £1.75, thats two quid cheaper than full price…. I’ll be going there again….
So…. full to the gunnels with fish and chips, the cupbards stocked and on tinny numero deux…. think an afternoon nap is going to be in order today!!

Beer, Beer…… I Want Beer…….

Sods law aint it, sat here with a craving for a few real pints of beer in a real pub…… and I’m stranded……
Text message to my brother…. nothing doing….. but he’ll ‘bear me in mind’ for the next time……
Not even got any bottles I can suck the last dregs out of

 

Me No Likee…..

Six O’clock this morning, I’d been awake most of the night….. went into the kitchen to make a coffee, grab some painkillers and refill the biscuit barrel and just happened to glance outside…..
White over and thick fog…… came back and checked the weather station, minus 7F outside, that was the last reading before the battery in the sensor died or froze!
Coffee, a few dunked digestives, pills and a peruse of them Mad Hatter type folks, then back to my nice warm cosy bed…… until just after 4pm
Its now 8pm, I’m gonna be wide awake all night and I must go shopping tomorrow….. so what the hell can I do until 10am tomorrow when I head for the bus stop??
